Michelle is a painter, muralist, and arts educator working in Oakland. She studied fine arts at San Francisco State University and graduated in 2009, and continues to show work in galleries across the US and in print internationally. Michelle has created several public and privately funded murals included through the San Francisco Arts Commission, Facebook AIR Program, Los Angeles County and the Colusa County Arts Council.

Michelle’s work addresses the relationship between humans and the landscape, depicting moments of beauty that are often overlooked in an urban setting. It is a celebration of the aesthetic harmony in an environment that is both urban and natural. The imagery in her work is a metaphor for the balance between natural and constructed environments, and the connection and interaction of these realms.

Outside of her art practice, Michelle is also an arts educator and runs a children’s art program called The Little Studio, focused on building confidence and joy through the arts.
